The ten pillars of our teaching pedagogy
Proactive Mindfulness & Self Awareness
1.Students learn to be proactive in developing value-added, positive self talk, meditation, and unconditional self love as a new way of understanding and approaching procrastination or other setbacks.
Leadership
2. Students increase their leadership skills: people and time management strategies through team exercises.
Inquisitiveness
3. Students learn things that they have always wanted to learn but have always been outside of the traditional classroom text and setting.
Growth Mindset Development
4. Students are placed in challenging situations that enable them to more freely develop growth mindsets. Students learn how to fail their way to success.
Personal Development
5. Students are taught to utilize their learning through everyday actions and unique independent or group projects.
Each One Teach One.
6. Through contagious enthusiasm, leading students teach lessons or workshops to others as part of the course completion process should they desire to receive a Statement of Accomplishment letter from peers and the instructor.
Build Confidence
7. Through goal setting and the development of an action plan, students learn strategies of using current resources to create academic improvements.
Academic Improvement
8. Through deliberate practice, students learn to master strategies that develop sustainable growth and academic success.
Collaboration and Community Impact
9. Students complete unique challenges in a relatively short period of time with the potential of creating sustainable impact in lives of peers in their community.
Goal Setting & Planning
10. Students create a personal ten year plan and an academic plan. Why does it matter? Because, failing to plan, is planning to fail.
